Making Contact
Home health referrals can be initiated by the physician,
the patient, or their families. Upon receiving the referral request we
will verify the patient's eligibility and appropriateness for home
health services. We will contact the attending physician for orders and
to generate the initial treatment plan.
Medicare pays 100% of the expense of our services in the
home if the patient needs skilled nursing care or rehabilitative
therapy, the patient is homebound, and the service has been ordered by
the physician. Qualifications under which other health insurance
carriers operate can vary greatly. We will check with your insurance
carrier and advise you of your coverage.
Contacting the Office
We will work to maintain
communication with you regarding your care. A large
number of telephone messages are handled each and every day. Should you call, we ask that you give all necessary
information to the receptionist or nurse. In this manner, your problem can be related
promptly to the doctor for action. Office personnel will relay results of tests and answer
questions as per the doctor's instructions.
Our telephones are answered 24 hours a day including weekends
and holidays. If you call after our scheduled office hours, the telephone
will rely your message to a beeper carried by the nurse on-duty.
