Health Services brings a comprehensive approach to meeting your needs
during times of poor health. Each of our nurses, aides, and other
office personnel are chosen with your care in mind.
Valeri A. Carr, R.N.
Administrator
Valeri A. Carr, R.N. has been
active in nursing since 1978 and has been involved with Homestead in
both direct care and administration. Valeri graduated from the
Methodist School of Nursing in 1983. Prior to her involvement in home
health she worked across the inpatient hospital setting, including
cardiac rehabilitation and intensive care. She is married to Dr. Brian
Carr and has 2 children. "I want people to stay in their homes as long
as possible because that is where they want to be" according to
Valeri.

Lana James, R.N.
Director of Nursing
Lana James, R.N. serves as the Director of
Nursing. Since graduating from the Methodist School of Nursing in
1993 she has worked in home health with progressive
responsibilities. She joined Homestead in 2000 as Director of
Nurses. She and her husband Randy enjoy country living and many
friends. "In home health care I can make a difference in people's
lives" says Lana.

Alisha
Registered Nurse
Alisha grew up in
Silverton, Texas and West Texas is her home. She has been with
Homestead since 2005 and has over 11 years experience in home
health. She notes that "I enjoy the amount of time I can spend with
a patient and the freedom and ability to not stay in the office all
day".

Licensed Vocational Nurse
Nancy Vera
L.V.N. has been a dedicated nurse in West Texas for over 25 years. She
has never turned away from a challenge and she has provided care under some
of the most difficult circumstances. She serves in the capacity as
supervisor of clinical services.
Maris Licensed Vocational Nurse
Polly
Accounts Manager
Polly is the "glue"
of the office that makes the rules and regulations of insurance and
government work smoothly. She has been with Homestead since 1999 and
her view of the office is "the people that work here is what makes
it such a pleasure".
Amber
Administrative Assistant
Amber has worked with
the Homestead agency since 1999. She is the front line for inquiries
to the agency and her ability to manage several tasks at the same
time is admirable. She stays busy at home with her children and when
she can sneak away she enjoys quiet time.
Tammi
Community Relations/Marketing
Tammy joined
Homestead in 2007 and is the liaison for the agency with other
health care entities and clients. She has worked in healthcare for
over 13 years and her philosophy is that "we are making a difference
in the patient and their families lives by providing quality care".
